Jock of the Bushveld

Based on a true story by Sir Percy Fitzgerald, this film tells of his adventures in the bushveld in the late 1800s. Fitzgerald is an Irishman who goes to the South African bush to seek his fortue, hoping to find work at a gold mine. He doesn't get the job, but he saves the life of a puppy who he names jock. Percy gets a job working for a transport company, and he and his loyal dog have many adventures together as they struggle for survival on the South African frontier.
